I'm a graduate student at the University of California, Davis. I'm interested in phyloinformatic approaches for inferring the phylogeny of vertebrates. I also work on empirical phylogenetics of amphibians and reptiles (focusing in particular on turtles). When not writing code or working at the lab bench, I spend my time turtling in the Southeastern US and looking for impossible to find
herps.
I was a student at the Bodega workshop in 2006 and have been coming back as an instructor since. Before the 2008 workshop, I put together this wiki as a means to distribute course materials to students, and now - in collaboration with other course participants - we're developing it as a general resource for the phylogenetics community.

2010-03-10 12:13:32 Hi Bob, Where should we post announcements or newly added pages where most users can find them? For instance people have asked me where they can find out more about Version Management, and I'd like to call attention to where users can find the mailing lists we just discussed in the last section, etc. Thanks! —Carl
