My primary research interests focus on developing quantitative methods for phylogeny estimation and for making phylogeny-based inferences related to various evolutionary phenomena (particularly inference problems associated with differential rates of diversification and historical biogeography), and applying these methods to empirical data to explore fundamental evolutionary problems in flowering plant evolution. Like Rich Glor, I was a student at the first Bodega workshop and have been an instructor for the past two years.
